The MAJESTY of Spruce Acres Mansion was restored in 2006/2007. It is a stunning example of Greek Revival Architecture. It boasts beautiful original plaster moldings and heart of pine floors, stenciling, workable servants bell and other unique and stately features. It’s rich and long history has been preserved while bringing the Mansion into the present.
Originally constructed by Hunn Jenkins, the property has served as a private residence, community landmark, and cultural gathering place for more than 185 years. Over time, Spruce Acres became known not only for its commanding architecture and gracious scale, but also for its role in regional history—including periods of use associated with the Underground Railroad.
